Services (Rates vary depending on the project):
When you hire me as your producer:
1. I will
sit with you and analyze your songs, and work on ways to enhance the
compositions before the recording stage. I will make sure that we both
understand where the songs are going, and then we will make a song structure
plan (or small recorded demo) before the recording
begins.
2. We (Me and you) will record the
instrumental for your song, the way you want it to be recorded.
3.
When you'll be recording vocals, I will coach you in order to get the best
performance that you can. I will be your vocal coach and will
make sure that we enhance strong vocal points in your performance, and
minimize problems that you may face while recording your
vocals.
On to step 2 and 3:
Mixing:
There are 3 things I bring to the table when
it comes to mixing:
1. My
ears
2. My experience and
my ability to provide great mixes
3. My gear
Most mixing
engineers will agree that the gear is the less important of the 3, because
all the best gear in the world will be rendered useless when paired with
an inexperienced engineer.
What you pay for is my ability to get
your mixes to translate perfectly through various sound systems. You
are paying for quality and for accuracy. Let's
not forget: A great mix
will bring your song to a whole new level and will be more
desirable to listeners. As far as the process of mixing, I will
compress/EQ the signals, auto-correct vocals if needed, and make
your mixes sound as punchy and musical as they can be.
Mastering:
What is mastering? It is the final
process of production, where the song gets retouched, EQed, and compressed in
order to give the end result a Radio Quality sound. In the 21st Century,
this also includes maximizing the volume level of your tracks to compete
against songs on the radio. I provide this service, and I also look for master
errors(Errors C1 and C2) and correct them (for duplication
services).
